Custom Wedding Packages
I have a very flexible approach when it comes to wedding photography packages, allowing any of them to be customized to your individual desires. There are three standard "packages" to choose from that are described below: the Value Package, the Dream Package, and the Platinum Package. But these are only a place to start, and you can add additional items or make adjustments until you have your perfect package. My goal here is to recognize that every couple, every wedding, and every budget is unique. Maybe one of my packages doesn't quite fit. Most of my weddings have some unique circumstances that require us to deviate from the package, and that's no problem. Let's start with the Value Package, which contains the items that I've found the majority of couples want. Everything in the Value Package is also included in the Dream and Platinum packages. The Value Package Free Consultation ![]() The first step is for us to get together in person to discuss your wedding. This free consultation is my opportunity to understand what you have planned for the day and what you are looking for in your wedding photographer. It is your opportunity to get to know me and my work - I will show you my sample albums and DVD Montages and explain how I work on the wedding day. We can also go through all of the services I provide so that you have a clear understanding about all your options. Planning Meeting and Site Visits ![]() I believe in good planning and preparation for your wedding day. Some time between a few weeks and a few days before your wedding, we'll get together to go over the details, such as formal shot lists, the schedule of the day, and logistics with the venue or other vendors. I don't want to just show up on your wedding day and react. Rather, I want to be an active part of the planning process, contributing ideas of what I know will help create great photographs. The Site Visits are another part of the pre-wedding preparation. If I am not familiar with them, I will always go to the sites where the ceremony will be held, where the formal pictures will be taken, and where the reception will be located. If possible, I'll make these visits at the same time of day as planned for your wedding so that the lighting is consistent. The site visits enable me to plan for equipment and lighting, and gives me a head start on shooting angles and compositions. Often we'll decide where to shoot the formals, for example, by exploring the venue together. Here is a list of wedding venues where I have worked and/or have current bookings. Four to Eight Hours or More of Photography Coverage ![]() One of my primary goals in photographing your wedding is to capture all of the important activities of the day. Since every wedding is different, I have packages that start at four hours and go to a full eight hours. Ideally I would like to photograph the bride and/or groom getting ready all the way through the end of the reception, so we can choose the right number of hours to achieve this. I don't want you to worry that your photographer is going to leave early and miss the fun of the reception, especially if you are running behind schedule. More time equals more pictures and more memories! There is also no limit to the number of pictures that I will take on your wedding day. Typically for an eight hour day, I will provide 600 or more final images to the bride and groom. Again, my goal is to make great photographs that tell the story of your day and I am not concerned about "shooting too much." Photography Assistant ![]() My assistant's job is to keep my attention on photographing you and your wedding. He or she will help in numerous ways during the day and is a valuable asset to me so that I can maintain my focus on you. Some of the things my assistant will do include helping to organize and pose formal portraits, helping me with lighting, managing my equipment, and communicating with the other vendors. My assistants have also been known to bustle dresses, get babies to laugh, and otherwise be great fun. My assistants are photographers as well, so you are also getting a second eye in most situations. One of the options I offer is a second photographer, please see below. Color and Black & White ![]() I use professional digital photography equipment that results in superb images that can be both color and black and white. This is one the biggest advantages of shooting digitally. Sometimes that one shot of the bride's mother lacing up the dress just looks better in black and white. Other shots of the flower bouquets look fantastic with vibrant, saturated colors. I will use my judgment and make black and white versions to go with the original color images. Sometimes I will create black and white versions of an entire part of the day, such as the ceremony or the formal portraits. I can also make sepia toned images if you prefer. It's all up to you! On the web site, you just check a box and the image switches back and forth between color and black and white. Image Retouching ![]() The quality of the images that I create at your wedding is my number one priority. Every image that I deliver to you (all 600 for an eight hour day!) has been retouched/edited in Photoshop to some degree. I am very meticulous in the post-production process to ensure that I am delivering consistently high quality images across the whole day. Since you will be getting all of these images as high resolution files (see below), I make sure that they are "print-ready." View Images and Order Prints Online ![]() I post the images from all of my weddings on my web site with a unique, private address that you can send to your family and friends. This is the easiest way to share the memories of the day, and I usually get the shots on the site in about a month. This replaces and improves upon the "proof album," which can only be in one place at one time! Your family and friends can order prints directly from my web site using their credit card. These orders come straight to my office and I make the prints myself to ensure the highest quality. Professional Prints ![]() Speaking of prints, I will make two 8x10s and four 5x7s of images you choose from your wedding as part of the Value Package. They can be black and white or color or some of both. You have the option of the kind of paper, ranging from glossy to pearl/luster to matte. Of course you can add more prints as part of the base package, or order them after the wedding. Please see below for more information on pricing. High Resolution Digital Files ![]() You will get all the high resolution digital files that I have created from your wedding. These files are ready to be printed, usually up to a size of 11x14". The digital files are in a format that you can use in an image editing or graphics software, if you choose to make your own prints and/or album. I recommend that you go to a professional photo lab to have your prints made if you choose not to have me make them for you. The Dream Package All of the items listed above comprise the Value Package. The Dream Package includes all of the items in the Value Package and adds the items listed here. This is my most popular package, as it includes a Wedding Album, Engagement Shoot, and Second Photographer. Wedding Album ![]() The formal wedding album is something that you will cherish for the rest of your life. You want it to be a high quality album that is well designed and professionally printed.
![]() The second album is the Premira album, also a flush mount, but with a little border around the images and metal tips on the corners. The pages are also rigid, and you can have panoramas that go across both pages. Both the Diamond and Premira are perfect for creating designs with background images and multiple images per page. The third album is a traditional window mat album called Milano. These come with an embossed cover, sturdy mats, and metal tips on the corners of the pages. You can get white, ivory, or black covers and pages. Milano albums are very professional and they will stand the test of time as the photographic record of your wedding. Each of these three album styles come in a 10"x 10" image size, with 15 pages (30 sides) as the standard. The flush mount albums are typically designed as two page spreads. We can add or subtract pages, use a larger or smaller size, and customize the colors of any album. The design and production of a wedding album is a collaborative process between you and I. First you choose the style and size of the album you want. Then you choose the images that you want to include, as well as some organization of the images, and I will design the album to tell the story of your wedding day. Before making any prints, however, I will share the design with you through my web site, to ensure that it is what you want. I then make all the prints myself (except for the Diamond album, which is printed at a lab) and produce the album for you. This is a higher level of service than you will receive from most photographers, and it results in a quality album that you will be proud of for years to come. Engagement Shoot and Print with Signature Mat ![]() ![]() There is no better way for us to get to know each other before the wedding than an engagement shoot! Typically we'll go down to the beach, your favorite park, or a location that is important to you as a couple. We'll spend one hour doing the shoot, I'll then edit and retouch the images and post them to my web site. You then choose your favorite image or images, and I'll print an 8x10 with a 16x20 signature mat that we'll put up at the wedding for all your guests to sign. This is always a big hit and you'll have a great time reading all the comments! You can also use the images for a Save the Date card or magnet, a printed program at the wedding, thank you cards, and more. You also get the digital files, just like you do from the wedding. Take a look at the Engagement Shoot Gallery to get a feel for the kinds of shots I like to do during the engagement shoot. Second Photographer - Three Hours ![]() ![]()
Having another photographer to cover your wedding adds a whole new dimension and ensures coverage that is simply not possible with one photographer. Not only can we photograph both the bride and groom getting ready, but we can also photograph the ceremony from different angles and in different styles, we can shoot candids while the formals are being taken, and we can cover some of the reception in different styles. As mentioned above, all of my assistants are photographers, and I use them as second photographers. There are two main advantages to this approach: keeping the cost down for the bride and groom and enabling the flexibility of hiring them for the most important parts of your day. The three hour package is designed to have the second photographer spend a little time with the groom prior to the wedding, then shooting with me during the ceremony, shooting candids and different angles while I'm shooting the formals, and then the grand entrance and first dance during the reception.
11x14 Professional Print In addition to the two 8x10s and 4 5x7s that come with the Value Package, you also get to choose one image to be printed as an 11x14. You would frame this in a standard 16x20 frame to put on your wall. The Platinum Package Here is the ultimate wedding photography package! From the special bridal portrait session before the wedding day to the slide show of the day's images at the reception to the DVD Montage combining still images, audio, and video - this truly is the platinum package! It also includes everything from the Value and Dream Packages.
Bridal Portrait Session The Bridal Portrait Session is essentially a bridal fashion shoot done in the studio. It is a chance for the bride to get some glamorous photographs of herself in her wedding dress. This is a wonderful opportunity for the bride to test out her hair and makeup, as well as have a bouquet made that will resemble the wedding bouquet. There is rarely the time and opportunity to get these kinds of images on the wedding day! The images will be posted on the web site, the digital files will be provided to the bride, and of course we can make prints of the images. Wedding Day Slide Show at Reception Talk about instant gratification! How about a slide show of images from the actual wedding day played before all of your guests near the end of the reception? This is the Wedding Day Slide show, and here's how it works - as I shoot, I pass the digital files to an assistant, who assembles the images into a story of the day. We set up my projector and a large screen, your DJ plays a few songs that you picked ahead of time, and everyone gets to relive your special day. It is really a great way to enhance your reception! Ceremony Only Video Coverage If you are not hiring a professional wedding videographer for your entire day, then my advice would be to at least capture the ceremony on video. In conjunction with the DVD Montage (see next section), this gives you a more complete record of the ceremony and allows you to hear your vows, your officiant's words of advice, etc. This includes the raw footage on dvd and a copy of the original tape. Wedding DVD Montage ![]() A very popular gift and timeless keepsake of your wedding, the Wedding DVD Montage is an interactive slide show of images from your wedding day. This can be played on your DVD player and on your computer, and it comes in a professional DVD case. This price includes 5 copies, with additional copies at $24.95 each. You will choose images for the DVD Montage just like you do for the wedding album, and you also choose the music. I will design the montage, which will contain 120-150 images and run 10-12 minutes. These are not static "slide shows," but rather I use the "Ken Burns Effect" of zooming in and panning across images to bring them to life. If as part of the Platinum Package you got the Ceremony Only Video, then we can add some of that video and audio to the DVD Montage. For example, we can have video footage and still images of the bride walking down the aisle. Or we can have the audio of your vows but with my still images. There are many options when combining video, audio, and stills.
Two Parent's Albums Parent's Albums are smaller than the regular Wedding Albums, in terms of the image size and number of pages, but they have the same basic styles. Typically the designs are simpler, with one to three images per page. These two albums can be the same, or they can be different for each side of the family. See above for a more detailed description of the albums. 16x20 Professional Print This is the print that goes over your fireplace or is otherwise the focus of your wall or the whole room. It may be the "signature image" of your wedding, or the one that best captures the emotion or the beauty of the day. However you choose, I will make the print myself and ensure that it is the best print of that image possible. Optional Items Additional Time ![]() While eight hours usually covers the important events of your wedding day, sometimes the early morning makeup and hair appointment all the way to the send off in the limo can be longer. Ideally I would like to be with you all day to capture everything, so the additional time option gives us the flexibility to add hours as needed. Each additional hour that I'm shooting gives you more images for your album, more prints, and more images for your DVD montage. Professional Prints ![]() Every wedding has a few images that really capture the spirit of the day, and these are the ones that you'd like to have framed on your wall or give as gifts. If you'd like to have some additional prints made, then we can add this into the package up front, or we can wait until you have a chance to review the images and then decide. Pricing Here is a summary of Fassett Photography pricing:

Destination Wedding Package - price varies
Destination weddings are growing in popularity...and why not? Who wouldn't love to fly to Hawaii to get married with their closest friends and families? Clearly there are additional logistics to work out for a destination wedding, so this package has no starting point and is completely customizable. We would sit down and work through the details of exactly what you want and how photography fits into your budget and plans. One great opportunity with a Destination Wedding is to make a DVD Montage of the wedding that can be shown back home at the reception! If you have any questions or would like to set up an appointment, please contact me. |
